APP Showcase: Cut Cut

June 5, 2019 by Ankush Mahajan

Photo editors are available aplenty on the Google Play Store, but ones that actually do their job properly are rare. Thankfully, Cut Cut falls into the latter category coming with a variety of nifty features. APUS, the developers have harnessed big data analytics and the resultant AI behind the titular cut tool works very well. In almost all pictures, it was able to calculate the shape of the person without delay but faltered a bit during group shots.

Users can then takeover and fill in the remaining gaps with a rub of the finger. It is then transposed to the main screen where users can select an appropriate background or add from the number of stickers, filters or even quotes. Once saved, it can be directly posted on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. A major issue we faced were the numerous advertisements that would pop up very frequently. A paid version can be purchased for an ad-free experience that unlocks over 20,000 assets.
