Cooler Master’s new MasterFrame 700 is an open-air PC Case that transforms into a test bench

July 18, 2021 by T3 India

Cooler Master takes innovation to the next level by launching the MasterFrame 700, which is a customisable frame that can transform into a flexible test bench from an open-air PC chassis. Built for those who dabble in building and testing their systems, the MasterFrame 700 has a unique potential in the market, as it gives the users a very flexible product.

The MasterFrame 700 consists of a fully-featured motherboard tray and two side wings. Full range of motion of the side wings is permitted through 4 specially-designed friction hinges, which provides greater stability and aids the assembly process too. This design is ‘perfect for custom water-cooling loops’, according to Cooler Master’s press release.

As a PC chassis, the MasterFrame 700 stands vertically and boasts of a panoramic tempered glass which allows users and viewers to see the components inside. Oversized components are also fitted easily in this chassis. The MasterFrame 700 can be transformed between an open-air PC case and a test bench through the modular wings. These wings fold forward and are stabilised through rubber feet.

As a test bench, the side wings fold down towards the CPU socket and graphics card area to allow for localised airflow to the components – especially when overclocking. Mounting capabilities are enhanced as a test bench to support 3 x 360mm radiators at the same time. The wings also serve as holders of the triple-fan radiators and other accessories. The MasterFrame 700 also features a 100mm x 100mm VESA mount capability but it is recommended to wall mount full systems below 14kg in total. Here are some of the features of the Cooler Master MasterFrame 700:

DIMENSIONS (L X W X H): 702 x 306 x 410mm / 27.64 x 12.05 x 16.14inch (Incl. Panels)

MOTHERBOARD SUPPORT: SSI EEB, SSI CEB, XL-ATX, E-ATX, ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX

EXPANSION SLOTS: 8

2.5″ / 3.5″ DRIVE BAYS (COMBO): Up to 4 (PSU cover)

2.5″ DRIVE BAYS: 7 (3 SSD brackets + 4 PSU cover)

I/O PANEL: 2x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 1x 3.5mm Headset Jack (Audio+Mic)

Every component on the MasterFrame 700 can be disassembled for custom pain jobs, vinyl wrap, and any other modifications, thus showing the use of its teardown-friendly design. The MasterFrame 700 is available at all retail and online stores across India.

The MasterFrame 700’s end-user pricing is set to be approximately at Rs. 18,500. This article will be updated once T3 Magazine India receives further updates.
