Google Play enables carrier billing for Idea subscribers

May 6, 2016 by Prithika Acharya

It’s been a while but Google has finally enabled direct carrier billing for its play store content. What does it mean to you? Well, if you’re an Idea subscriber, you can now buy games, apps, movies, books directly without having to add a debit card, credit card or a voucher. The amount will directly be debited from your Idea balance or be added to your bill, in case of postpaid.

Carrier billing is currently limited to Idea only but it’s a good sign if you’re wary to give your credit card or debit card data to Google.
