May 22, 2018 by Ankush Mahajan

Honor has expanded their line-up with the launch of the 7A and 7C at an event in the capital recently. The two smartphones rest in the budget segment meant to complement rather than compete with the other sub-15k models.

The devices share various similarities cosmetically with the 7A being smaller and lighter than the 7C. Another difference is the processor used while the rest is almost the same. Honor 7A is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and 3GB RAM sporting a 5.7″ HD+ (720×1440) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Honor 7C is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, option of 3GB RAM or 4GB RAM having a 5.99″ (720×1440) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Both have an identical dual rear camera setup with a 13MP sensor and secondary 2MP sensor while the front bears an 8MP lens. The only difference is that 7A has a f/2.2 aperture on the rear and 7C has f/2.0 aperture.

EMUI based on Android 8.0 Oreo is the Operating system of choice for the phones. Value adding features like Huawei Histen 3D sound effects, Party Mode and Ride Mode have been implemented.

Priced at Rs.8,999, Honor 7A will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from 12pm on 29 May. On the other hand, Honor 7C is an Amazon exclusive that will be sold from 12pm on 31 May. There is a launch offer from Jio offering Rs.2,200 cashback in the form of 44x Rs.50 vouchers with 50GB additional free data for Honor 7A and 100GB for 7C.
