Lenovo begins selling Yoga Book in India

December 13, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

Lenovo has launched the Yoga Book in India which was first shown off at IFA 2016. The company claims it is the world’s thinnest and lightest 2-in-1 device.

The main selling point of the Yoga Book is its Halo keyboard and real-pen. The Halo keyboard is a full touch capacitive keyboard with haptic feedback that illuminates at the touch of a button. It is integrated with artificial intelligence software that slowly learns the typing habits of the user and even adjusts the distance between the keys based on the feedback received. When the bundled magnetic notepad is attached, the keyboard gets disabled and the real-pen can be used to write on the paper which instantly gets digitised. This can even include drawings that can be manipulated on the OneNote app.

Coming to the specifications, the Yoga Book includes a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8550 processor with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, 10.1″ fullHD IPS display with 400n brightness, 64GB internal storage (expandable upto 128GB via microSD), Dolby Atmos sound, 8MP rear camera with autofocus and 2MP fixed focus front camera. The above runs on Windows 10 Pro OS and while there is an Android version available abroad, it won’t be coming to India.

The Yoga Book has a thickness of 9.6mm and weighs 690 grams but has not compromised on durability by using magnesium and aluminium alloys. The company has managed to fit in a 8500mAh battery which is able to provide upto 13 hours of battery backup on a single charge.

The Carbon Black device is sold at a price of Rs.49,999 exclusively on Flipkart.
