Rayman: Origins is the next free game from Ubisoft

As part of Ubisoft’s Anniversary celebration, Rayman: Origins is the free game for the month of August. It is a 2D sidescrolling platformer released in November 2011 as a sequel to Michael Ancel’s Rayman trilogy. The game supports multiplayer co-op allowing for upto 4 different players who can drop in and drop out at any time.

Origins was critically a hit but commercially it did not sell as well as Ubisoft had hoped but sales were enough to garner a sequel, Rayman Legends, released in 2014. The objective of the game is to complete the levels while freeing the Electoons and collecting Lums in order to save the Glade of Dreams. There are over 60 levels in the game taking place in 12 different environments.
