The classic strategy game from 1998 makes a return with Blizzard bringing a Remastered version to PC next month. Work on the project started 18 months ago with the development team.
Audio has been improved, graphics including units, buildings and environments have been remastered and support has been added for modern resolutions from 16:9 to 21:9. However, the gameplay is untouched so purists need not fret. For nostalgic fans, pressing the F5 key toggles between the classic 640×480 resolution and new look on the fly. Interludes have also been illustrated and feature comic book style narration to further immerse players in the storyline.
The game will be released on 14 August 2017 at a price of 14.99$ with pre-order bonuses.
