TicWatch Pro 2020 is Mobvoi’s new flagship smartwatch

Apart from being aesthetically pleasing and fashionable, Google-backed Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 2020 packs in several features also offered by some of the best smartwatches we know of. The TicWatch range of smartwatches have all been feature-rich, so what’s new in the TicWatch Pro 2020, you may ask? Essentially, the TicWatch Pro 2020 offers some crucial hardware upgrades which boosts its performance up a notch. These upgrades include a larger RAM, a more-accurate GPS, and more.

Like its predecessor – the TicWatch Pro, the TicWatch Pro 2020 features the unique ‘Layered Display’ technology which includes a AMOLED and a Super Twisted Nematic LCD screen – which enables readability even on the brightest day – working in tandem. Starting with some of the most important upgrades, the TicWatch Pro 2020 offers double the memory with 1GB of RAM and upgraded GPS and health trackers, which enables the fitness data-tracking apps and the sleep and heart-rate tracking-features be more efficient.

Additionally, the TicWatch Pro 2020’s screen – which offers a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels – is protected through the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and it also offers MIL-STD-810G military standard durability and is IP68-rated, which means it can withstand extreme temperatures, dust, shock, and water. Mobvoi’s flagship smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 and also features a battery-life extending up to 30 days on ‘Essential Mode’, and 2 days on ‘Smart Mode’, through a 415mAh battery.

Not only can the user manage notifications – some, like ‘Quick Replies’, limited to Android users only – and calls, but impressively, the TicWatch Pro 2020 also has the voice-activated Google Assistant built-in. The smartwatch offers over 1000’s of watch faces and users can also use Google Pay to make hassle-free payments at a multitude of places.

The TicWatch Pro 2020 comes with a plethora of sensors – like Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetic Sensor, PPG Heart Rate sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Low Latency Off-Body Sensor – for better performance.  

The TicWatch Pro 2020 runs on Wear OS crafted by Google and has 6-built in sports modes as well, in addition to enable users track and analyse sleep through the TicSleep App. The TicWatch Pro 2020 is available Shadow Black and Liquid Metal Silver on Amazon for Rs. 23,990.
