The Zowie XL2540 monitor from BenQ targets the e-sports community

November 29, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

BenQ launched the Zowie XL2540 gaming monitor for the Indian market recently. Aimed at the PC e-Sports community, the monitor has a native refresh rate of 240Hz ensuring that not a single frame is dropped.

Unique to BenQ is the Shield feature which are removable flaps to block out external or ambient lighting and the LCD frame has been designed to reduce the screen reflection. The Black equaliser embedded in the monitor enhances visibility in dark scenes without overexposing bright areas.

Coming to specifications, the 24.5″ display uses a TN panel with FHD (1920×1080) resolution and 1ms response time. Weighing 7.5Kg, it has 1x DVI-D, 1x DP1.2 and 2x HDMI ports with separate mic+headphone jacks. It also comes with 20 levels of colour vibrance settings for various types of games at a brightness level of 400 nits.

BenQ has priced the XL2540 at Rs.45,000 and will be available at select offline stores across the country.
