THQ certified BenQ W11000 4K UHD projector now available in India

December 1, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

BenQ launched the W11000 digital home cinema projector today for the Indian market. It is the only Digital Light Processing (DLP) 4K UHD projector to earn THX certification entailing over 200 THX laboratory tests covering over 500 data points to ensure strict colour accuracy, precise gamma, ideal color temperature, enhanced uniformity and super high native contrast ratio.

It is capable of producing 2840×2160 true 8.3 millionpixel resolution. The Single-DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) DLP technology ensures proper image integrity and colour accuracy without artifacts introduced by panel alignment issues. BenQ’s optimised 4K optical system employs 14 high-resolution elements, true zoom system and special low- dispersion lens coatings.

Augmenting its high native ANSI contrast ratio, W11000’s Active Iris and Dynamic Black technology, SmartEco and proprietary black paint sealed light engine produce 50,000:1 dynamic contrast performance. Cinemaster Image processing technology improves vivid colour reproduction, flesh tone correction and advanced digital colour & luminance noise reduction. It also natively supports 2.35:1 anamorphic ratio content and the wider viewing angle lets users watch it comfortably.

The design has also been streamlined to feature front-facing ventilation while the unobstructed port architecture has extra space to accommodate thick high-quality cables and HDMI/power cable locking to hold them securely in place. Since it features H/V lens shift and 1.5X big zoom, it can ft into any home cinema.

The BenQ W11000 is priced at Rs.3,99,000.
