March 13, 2018 by Ankush Mahajan

Vu has added another TV series to their portfolio in the form of the new Google Android TV at an event in Bangalore today. It is the first Google-licensed TV in India to be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and while we don’t have a timeline, Vu has confirmed it will also be upgradable to the next version.

Sporting a Piano Black design, the TV houses an A+ Grade IPS Panel with 4K upscaling and 450nits brightness. Additionally, it has a high bright mode, pixel mapping, MPEG noise reduction and smooth motion control. The built-in soundbar (10W+10W) supports DTS TruSurround and Dolby Digital audio playback. Powering the Smart TV is a quad-core processor, 16GB internal storage and 2.5GB RAM. There are 3x HDMI and 2x USB ports for wired connectivity.

The TV bundles two remotes, a regular infrared one and a Bluetooth one, which is voice-enabled allowing for complete voice navigation with the voice search feature working even within apps. It is pre-loaded with cast support, Hotstar, Netflix and YouTube as well as full access to Google Play ecosystem.

The TV series is available in 3 sizes: 43-, 49- and 55-inches and are priced at Rs. 36,999, Rs. 46,999 and Rs. 55,999 respectively.
