Yu launches Yutopia in India

At an event in New Delhi today, Yu Televentures announced their latest flagship phone – Yutopia. Yu claims it’s the “most powerful phone” but tall claims aside, the phone is indeed nicely spec’d at the price.

The phone has a unibody metal design that is developed out of aircraft-grade aluminium and a PureBlack touch panel to give the phone a premium look. As for the hardware, it boasts a 5.2-inch WQHD display that achieves a pixel density of up to 570ppi along with 470cd/m2 luminance and improved colour reproduction, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM. powerful 21MP camera with fast auto focus and 4K video recording support at the back and 8MP on the front.

Yutopia also integrates 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support, fingerprint sensor, Dual-SIM support, LTE, Cyanogen OS 12.1 and pre-installed Around Yu app.

The Yutopia is now available for pre-order and will go on sale from December 26 on Amazon India for Rs. 24,999. Yutopia users will also get double the data from Airtel for the first six months.
